Hida Takayama

Shirakawa-go

There are a couple of ski fields nearby where you can have some fun in the snow, whether it be skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or tobogganing.

Honokidaira

About a 10-minute drive
A family-oriented ski resort that boasts high-quality powder snow in the winter. In summer, you can get up close to 100,000 gorgeous sunflowers.

Hirayu Onsen

About a 3-minute drive
This ski field is well suited to beginners and families, but it also has a couple of challenging runs.
